Forensic K9 Consultants (FKC) was established for working canines. The founders, Jerry and Milica Kokot Nichols, have over 65 years of handling and training working canines, and specialize in scent detection disciplines.
Jerry and Milica co-founded the Law Enforcement Bloodhound Association, LEBA, a non-profit association dedicating to training trailing and Human Remains Detection (HRD) K9s for law enforcement and search and rescue organizations. Together they have helped to train hundreds of K9 teams both in the Unites States and Europe.
LEBA was the first national bloodhound association to establish trailing and cadaver certifications that were bloodhound specific.

Director Jerry F. Nichols is a retired police officer with over 26 years of service. Jerry has had numerous K9 deployments for nearly 70 federal, state & local agencies in 8 states. His K9 work has been affirmed by the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court. His work with Yogi the bloodhound has been recognized by: American Police Hall of Fame, United States Congress, The Colorado State Legislature, FBI and various law enforcement agencies internationally.

Director Milica Kokot Nichols is a retired law enforcement officer who began her canine career at a young age training hunting dogs. She then went onto training and handling patrol dogs and followed that with trailing, human remains, narcotics, explosives and bed bug detection work. Milica then went onto become a certified Explosives Detection Canine Handler for DHS.
Milica and Jerry are also instructors and certifying officials for police and Red Cross teams in Germany, Switzerland and Belgium. They have also authored two training manuals, available here in print and soon to be released in an e-book.

Stuart Green has been with us for a number of years and is an absolute genius when it comes to imprinting dogs on scent. Stuart has been involved with dogs for a number of years and is a savant when it comes to anything related to scent work.
Stuart also competes in Schutzhund, titling his German Shepherds. His dedication to not only his own personal dogs but he has been beyond generous in helping others with their dogs.
His dog Chevas has proven that a dog can have many jobs and is currently his diabetic dog, who is also Schutzhund titled, and certified in Human Remains Detection (HRD) and Bed Bugs. Lovak, his newest dog is currently working on his HRD and Bed Bug certifications.
Stuart also has an innate ability to adjust his teaching style to meet the needs of each student. Stuart is also instinctive in recognizing possible issues in the dogs and proactive to apply problem solving techniques.

Talon Meyer owner of Primal Edge K9 joined our team in 2021 and brings excellence in experience, flexibility, patience, and respect to his training approach.
Starting in behavior modification as a young teenager with dogs, horses and raptors, he has always had an innate way of communicating with animals and respecting what each individual animal needed to achieve success.
Talon is instinctive with behavior modification and troubleshooting methods with K9s and their owners/handlers. He excels in advanced obedience and protection training and is able to recognize the slightest change of behavior in each animal in order to
consistently bring out the best in them.
Scent detection has also become a passion for Talon where he is excelling.
